Breaches confinement to go buy drugs (03/04/2020)

Agents of the Local Police of the City of Cartagena denounced a man and a woman who failed to comply with the order of domestic confinement for the coronavirus to buy and sell drugs.

The events were registered yesterday, Thursday, April 2, at about 4:00 p.m. in the Ensanche area, when they carried out routine checks to ensure that the citizens who were in the street did so for justified reasons.

The agents surprised a 35-year-old individual, making a delivery of a bag of narcotic substances to the driver of a vehicle that gave him a ticket from it.

Suspecting that a possible crime against Public Health was being committed, the police arrested the man as the alleged perpetrator of the crime and intervened banknotes and fractional coins, as well as the drug in doses ready for distribution and utensils used to its preparation.

The woman in her 30s was informed that she was going to report to the Judicial Authority and stated that the drug was for her husband who was a consumer.

The two implicated were denounced for not complying with the confinement order, and the detainee was transferred to dependencies of the National Police to be brought to justice.
