The Return to Talent Program to Cartagena continues with its activity during the Alarm State (01/04/2020)

The Return of Talent to Cartagena program, of the Department of Youth, continues to develop its activity during this State of Alarm as a consequence of the spread of COVID-19, offering guidance, support, prospecting and dissemination of the program, adapting to circumstances present and becoming aware of the difficulties and strategic changes of the companies and collaborating entities, as well as the situation that young users are going through, both in our country and abroad.

Aware of the importance of ceasing all interaction involving physical proximity between people, encounters, meetings, face-to-face interviews and visits, Return of Talent to Cartagena is committed to telecommunication through email, telephone, as well as social networks and videoconferences, means that were already in use since the program was launched and have been reinforced.

The different actions that are carried out during this period of confinement focus on daily contact with users, with counseling consultations and psychological support, answering the questions that arise.

Communication is also maintained with collaborating companies and entities, maintaining the sending of CVs, taking into account the most demanded needs and profiles.

Social networks, especially LinkedIn, which has more than 1,000 followers, has become a clear and direct information channel among the social agents involved, as well as personal interviews conducted via Skype.

Return of Talent has facilitated, in its first year of operation, that 25 young professionals with international experience have returned to Cartagena, 16 of them being hired by collaborating companies.

As of today, there are several users pending incorporation into their new positions, as well as in the selection process.

76 companies and collaborating entities have joined the program, and more than 170 job offers have been published for young people from Cartagena who want to return.
