Youth prepares a Guide to healthy practices for young people (26/03/2020)

Aware of the possible psychological distress that young people are experiencing in the current confinement, the Health and Gender Space of the Youth Department of the Cartagena City Council has prepared a brief guide with ten protection factors aimed especially at them:

.

Daily Routine, negotiate and establish the routine with your family and stick to it.

Having a routine similar to the one we used, helps us to be active and lower anxiety.

.

Put on your clothes!.

Do not go all day in pajamas and made some foxes.

How we see ourselves affects our mood.

.

Disconnect.

Overinformation generates anxiety.

.

Sun. On a sunny day, stand on the terrace, balcony or window for 30-45 minutes and relax.

The sun encourages us, regulates the sleep-wake cycles and is necessary to synthesize some vitamins, such as D.

.

Video calls.

Instead of writing so much, make video calls, you will feel less closed and closer to your friends.

You can make a group call.

Laugh and enjoy with them!

.

Social networks.

Make a diary of your quarantine in stories and save it.

It is the modern version of the "on board" diaries.

.

Time for you.

Your solitude space to put your favorite song and dance, exercise with a YouTube video, read, cook, play a game at the Play, do some pending or fancy crafts or a relaxing bath / shower.

.

The family is a team.

Don't be mad at your parents.

Confinement has not been ordered by them.

Create a peace agreement to collaborate and help us.

Suggest an activity to do as a family.

Role playing board game, X box game, dancing or chatting respectfully, can make us come together more.

.

Positive thinking.

By staying home, we are saving lives.

As explained by the Councilor for Youth, David Martínez Noguera, it is "a guide that makes it possible to see the _good part_ of this situation, something that we consider essential to generate a positive attitude and mentality."

The Health and Gender Space maintains its service of consultations and psychological attention for young people from 14 to 30 years old through the email saludjoven@ayto-cartagena.es, from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00. .
