COVID-19 Repsol Cartagena measures (16/03/2020)

The Government of Spain has approved Royal Decree 463/2020 declaring the State of Alarm in our country to stop the expansion of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

This measure establishes important limitations for the mobility of people and restrictions for the opening of shops, while establishing the guarantee of the supply of electrical energy, products derived from petroleum and natural gas.

In view of these measures, we must remember that the products and services offered by our company are considered critical and essential by the competent authorities and, therefore, we must guarantee business continuity in order to make it easier for citizens and companies to coverage of your energy needs.

In the present circumstances, we are even more firmly committed to adopting the necessary measures to reduce the risk of contagion among clients, workers and collaborators and, at the same time, to supply our clients and society as a whole with the goods and services necessary to continue its activity in these extraordinary circumstances.

In this sense, Repsol has extended the practice of teleworking in an extraordinary way to reduce the risk of contagion.

The measure is applicable among those people whose positions and functions can be performed remotely and their presence in the center is not essential to maintain the continuity of operations, always guaranteeing the safety of production processes.

Priority has been given to employees with school-age children, and those with special risk.

From the refinery we are following the company's action plans, which are based on the recommendations of the health authorities, based on the evolution of the coronavirus epidemic.

For Repsol, the most important thing is the safety and protection of people's health: own workers, professionals from external companies and their families, and from all clients.

We have enabled different communication channels through which our workers are permanently informed about the evolution of the situation and what we must do in each case.

Regular meetings are held with contractors, carriers and suppliers to establish the appropriate measures and to update contingency plans jointly.

Following the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, we are promoting hygienic measures in common work spaces and that meetings are held through telematic means.

From the refinery we appreciate the exemplary behavior with which employees, collaborators and clients are responding to these unprecedented circumstances.
