COEC together with the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia has presented the "Program of aid for energy efficiency actions in SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector" at the headquarters of COEC Cartagena.

The presentation of this information day was attended by Ana Correa, President of COEC;

Fernando Santamaría Estépar, Secretary of AEVE;

and Eduardo Piné Cáceres, General Director of Energy and Industrial and Mining Activity.

During her speech, the president of COEC has encouraged the attending businessmen to benefit from these grants to improve the energy efficiency of the companies.

He also stressed that there are 22 million euros available in aid managed by the Region of Murcia.

On the other hand, Ana Correa, taking advantage of the great assistance of businessmen of the Region to the day, has announced the prompt celebration of a transversal round table on the influence of the Coronavirus in the economy of the Region of Cartagena.

The round table will be attended by representatives of the CARM, the Treasury, Social Security, Health, municipalities and other institutions involved in this health crisis.

The General Director of Energy and Industrial Activity and Mining has encouraged attendees to request aid until all available funds are exhausted.

In addition, it estimates that around 800 companies will be able to benefit from this type of aid.

Subsequently, the Chief Business Competitiveness Area of ​​INFO, Rafael Martínez Fernández and the Chief Industry Department of IDEA, Rafael Gaos Font explained the procedure and conditions of the aid.

And finally, an exhibition of good practices from previous calls has been presented by Miguel A. Casas Lorca, Chief Financial Officer of Kettle Produce Spain and José M. Paredes, energy prescriber of CETENMA.

The application for these grants can now be submitted electronically until December 31, 2020. All information on the bases is available at the electronic headquarters of the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia.
