The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena has opened the enrollment period of the Municipal Infant Schools, from February 25 to March 24, and does so by offering in its eleven centers a total of 918 places for the 2020/2021 course, the which means 41 places more than last year.
As explained on Tuesday, February 25, the mayor, Irene Ruiz, this increase is due in part to the opening of one more classroom in the Children's School of La Aljorra and another in the Pozo Estrecho.
In addition, he explained, of the 918 places in the offer, 341 are expected to be renewal and the remaining 577 will be new enrollments.
With regard to the advantages offered by the Infant Schools, apart from the dining room service and extended hours, Ruiz recalled that prices, which remain the same as the previous year, include reductions for several reasons, such as having siblings in the center , large family or disability, as well as exemptions, for children at risk of social exclusion or children of women victims of gender violence.
The Councilor of the Education area, who has invited parents to visit and get to know the Infantile Schools, emphasized that it is' educational centers, not nurseries, with fully equipped facilities, educators and trained professionals, one educator per center will be dedicated to work with children with special needs, and with dining service in the center itself, complying with all sanitary safety and hygienic standards'.
The application for enrollment for the Infantile Municipal Schools can be processed through the municipal website in the Infantile Schools section.
The school fees vary from a minimum fee of 15.75 euros to a maximum of 105 euros.
As for the dining room service, it ranges between 22 and 88 euros.
