MC Cartagena will inform the local Government that San Antón and Ramón y Cajal suffer the effects of their chronic ineptitude (20/02/2020)

This morning, the Councilor of the municipal group MC Cartagena, María José Soler, reported on her training initiatives to "force the actions of the local government that put an end to the neglect and neglect with which they submit to our neighborhoods and districts. In this case, we were able to verify that Castejón and Arroyo accumulate pending matters in San Antón and the Ramón y Cajal neighborhood. "

"Unfortunately, the irresponsible policies of this Government are reflected in the countless deficiencies that our neighbors have to deal with daily. And we are not talking about large infrastructures, auditoriums or investments to change the appearance of their neighborhoods, but issues that any Executive should guarantee as a priority; security, cleanliness or accessibility ".

Then, the mayor recalled the visit of her training in San Antón, where "we could see that, once the holidays are over, the neighborhood falls into institutional oblivion. The problems we perceive there range from the danger to public health with the possible sale of illegal substances to needs in terms of road signs, cleaning, lighting or impassable public spaces. "

Soler has then delved into what is known in the Ramón y Cajal neighborhood.

"There we perceive the concern of the president of the neighborhood association, delivered almost in body and soul to his group, and that he has to 'respond' to situations created by the inaction of the municipal executive."

"Despite repeated writings from the presidency, none of the issues raised have been resolved from the local administration. A social premises in a deplorable state, promises of unfulfilled subsidies, poor asphalting, cleaning problems and growing insecurity in parks where young people consume illegal substances with total impunity. "

"That is why we will take to the Plenary two initiatives so that as long as comprehensive actions are not defined in both neighborhoods, the exposed needs are addressed to optimize the hygiene, health and safety conditions that the neighbors deserve," said María José Soler.
