This Wednesday, February 19 and Thursday, February 20, the Semifinals of the XVIII Chirigotas Contest "City of Cartagena" 2020 are held at the El Batel municipal auditorium, at 9:00 p.m.
In the semifinal five chirigotas are classified that pass to the Grand Final on Friday, February 21 and the following prizes are also awarded: Best Original Music, Best Chirigota Costume, Best Staging and Best Letter.
The day of the final starts at 8:00 p.m. and they make two passes, with the five classified that qualify for the prizes established in the contest.
Enjoy the chirigotas in El Batel, is one of the most anticipated moments of the Cartagena Carnival, without doubt an experience that everyone who tries repeats.
On Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23, the chirigotas will perform again.
The vice president of the carnival, Eduardo Pignatelli, said that this year the chirigotas have stood out because “we believe that it is a show that must be enhanced because many people are left without seeing them.”
