The 75 promotion of Students of the General Air Academy visit Cartagena (13/02/2020)

The new students of the 75th promotion of the General Air Academy have made their traditional visit to the city of Cartagena this Thursday, February 13.

The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has received them in the lobby of the City Hall, prior to the visits organized by the city in the Roman Museum and Theater and Forum District.

The mayor has welcomed 81 new students and the army colonel, Juan Pablo Sánchez de Lara, stating that from Cartagena it is very important to be able to count on the new generations, "which are our present", wishing them a good stay in the Academy and during his visit in the city, "it is a luxury to have them here year after year".

For his part, the colonel, Juan Pablo Sánchez de Lara, explained that despite not being in the municipality of Cartagena, from the City Council and citizens have always had "a special sensitivity towards us both in good times and in bad times , we have always felt his warmth and support, "the colonel thanked.

"We feel you as close as the sky we share," said the mayor.

The student number two of the promotion, Gonzalo Reneses, has dedicated a few words of thanks to the mayor for giving them the opportunity to visit the historic city of Cartagena.

He highlighted the relationship between the armed forces and the city of Cartagena, where "respect and affection towards our profession is reflected in its inhabitants" and pointed out that the army of the air not only has cultural and historical ties, also academics with the University Polytechnic of Cartagena, "a fundamental pillar in our training", explained Reneses.
