The writer Pablo Aranda visits the Luzzy with his book: The Weirdest School in the World (12/02/2020)

The writer from Malaga, Pablo Aranda, visits our city these days, Wednesday 12 and Thursday, February 13 to meet with students from the 3rd grade of primary schools in Cartagena and its region.

The boys have read and worked on the book: "The Weirdest School in the World" by Anaya.

This first day has been completed in the library of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, where he has developed three sessions, at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., attended by students of the Patronato schools , Stella Maris, La Concepción, Vicente Ros, Santa María del Buen Aire, Luis Vives, Fernando Garrido, La Vaguada and Maristas.

They have also been the Councilor for Culture, Carlos Piñana.

The second day of meetings will take place tomorrow Thursday at the libraries of Manuel Puig Campillo and Rafael Rubio de Los Dolores.

The first session will be held in the Peral Barrio library and the next two, from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will meet with students from the schools in the Barrio de los Dolores.

In these meetings the schools of Ciudad Jardín, San Felix, Our Lady of Sorrows, San Cristobal and the Sacred Heart will participate.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Pablo Aranda has a degree in Hispanic Philology and a tireless traveler.

Among other occupations, he has been a professor in a juvenile correctional facility and has taught Spanish at the University of Oran.

Since the publication of The Other City (Espasa Calpe, 2003), a novel that was a finalist for the 2003 Spring Award and won the 10th Andalusian Critics Award for the best first novel, it is dedicated exclusively to writing books and articles for various publications.

He is also the author of Routine Detachment (Arguval, 2003), which obtained the 1st.

South Daily Award for Short Novel, The Unlikely Order (Espasa Calpe, 2004), Ukraine (Destination, 2006), awarded the II Malaga Prize, The Soldiers (The Aleph, 2013) and The Protected (Malpaso, 2015).

The author's first foray into the children's narrative, Fede wants to be a pirate (Anaya, 2012), deserved the Ciudad de Málaga Children's Literature Prize, which encouraged him to continue Fede's adventures with the title: The Weirdest School of world (Anaya, 2014).

After two new books for children On a trip around the world (Anaya, 2017) and Casas del mundo (Anaya, October 2018), he has published the novel for adults The distance (Malpaso, 2018).
