Art and climatic emergency '|

The eleventh edition of the emerging art festival Mucho Más Mayo, will be held this year between May 8 and 17, with the public call for the presentation of projects, both individual and collective, in any artistic discipline.

The projects selected by a selection committee will become part of the festival program.

The motto of the 2020 edition is "Before the collapse. Art and climatic emergency".

The deadline for the presentation of the projects is until March 8.

The festival takes place in two territorial areas that are the historic center of Cartagena and the invited neighborhoods: the population centers (neighborhoods, districts, towns and villages) that are arranged around the Vía Estrecha railway line (FEVE) Cartagena -The Grandsons, and which are: The Media Legua, Vista Alegre, Alumbres, the Diputación del Beal and Los Nietos (Mar Menor).

The registration and the necessary documentation can be presented in digital format at the electronic headquarters of the City of Cartagena https://seguro.cartagena.es/sedeelectronica/tramites/detalleTramite.asp?codTramite=1528 or printed, at the General Registry Office .

It can also be delivered to Decentralization Offices in Neighborhoods and Provinces (OMITAS), or by registered mail.

Más Mayo is a program of artistic interventions in the urban environment developed by creators of all creative registers, using public spaces and unconventional places in the city and municipality of Cartagena.

The festival is organized by the City Council of Cartagena through the Department of Culture and Youth, and has an Organizing Committee.

The festival takes place under a set of experimental processes that interrelate emerging artistic practice, work with citizens, participation, artistic education and cultural production.

Its program is formed through sections and projects of its own production, which are completed with a public call for projects, whose bases have just been approved by the Municipal Government Board.

The festival also has a specific section that relates it to the educational centers, "Arte al Centro. Festival de los Estudiantes".

It also has other fixed sections such as the "Short Week" short film show, the "Much More Music" music festival, a training program for workshops and seminars, a cycle of conferences and debates, and an urban culture section (One Urban World ).

Much More May has assumed a commitment to gender equality so that in its program no gender will be represented above 60% or below 40%.

The festival has also assumed a commitment to sustainability, so the effort to reduce the environmental impact of the proposals will be valued.

The bases can be consulted on the board of the municipal website, or on the official website of the festival
