Antonio Ruíz says goodbye to the Local Police after 35 years of service (31/01/2020)

This Friday, January 31, an event was held to pay tribute to what has been for 25 years Chief of the Local Police of Cartagena and creator and director for 10 years of the School of Public Security of the City of Cartagena (ESPAC), Antonio Ruíz , who retires after 35 years of service in the police and 43 years in the Public Administration.

The act organized by his colleagues was attended by the councilor of the Area of ​​Public Safety, Juan Pedro Torralba, who highlighted the great work done by Antonio Ruíz, over the years, "we would like your predecessors to leave the bar of respect, formality and to comply with the law as he has done. "

The councilor also said that ESPAC is turning Cartagena into a reference, by having a training school for police, firefighters, civil protection bodies and private companies that comes to make use of the facilities.

For his part, Antonio Ruíz, has said goodbye thanking the support received from the Department of Security to the local police force and to the ESPAC.

He stressed that it is a public safety school that is respected at the national level, "we are beginning to be an example of how to organize the formation of the municipalities and the Autonomous Community."

Subsequently, Ruiz has been received by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, in the City Hall, a meeting in which the first mayor has wished her the best in this new stage of her life.
