The Cartagena Charity Association for Charity, has announced the distinctions that this year will deliver on the occasion of the fourteenth edition of the solidarity initiative known as Cartagena for Charity.

The "2020 Gold Medals", have corresponded to the company HIDROGEA Cartagena, Commander Jaime Enguídanos Royo, Director of the Music Unit of the Tercio de Levante and Captain Jose Manuel Castelló Sánchez, Director of the Music Unit of the General Academy of the Air of San Javier.

With this distinction, the highest award that the Association gives annually, the involvement and commitment to "Cartagena for Charity" is recognized, whose sole purpose is to be close to those people, institutions, associations or groups that need the attention of all .

For their part, the "Charity Awards" have fallen to the Regiment of Antiaircraft Artillery No. 73, which for eighteen years has organized the sporting event "Cross Artillery", charitable, Federation of Troops and Legions of the Fiestas de Carthagineses y Romanos, for the organization of the sports event known as "Night Race Arx Asdrubalis de Carthagineses y Romanos", which also has a markedly beneficial character, and COPE journalist Cartagena, Maite Fernández Tornell for her involvement in an altruistic way and selfless, with the solidarity initiatives that are promoted in our city.

These charitable actions do not go unnoticed by this Association, so that in 2016 the Charity Awards are born, with which we want to distinguish all those people, companies, groups or institutions, that thanks to their actions and commitment, help to those who need our attention, in a good example of CHARITY.

The first award for Charity was received by Father Ángel García, Founder and President of Messengers of Peace, who this year will have a leading role in the XIV edition of Cartagena for Charity.
