The commission for the organization of bicentennial acts of the death of Isidoro Máiquez is already underway.
In this commission, in addition to being included the Performing Arts Commission of the Culture Council and all the people or groups that participated in the events of 250th anniversary of its birth in 2018, other organizations, institutions, associations and individuals interested in the culture, not only of the local scope but also of the regional one.
As progress has been made this afternoon during the constitution of this commission, a program of events that will cover 2020 is being designed and among those that stand out around March 17 and 18, dates of birth and death .
The Councilor for Culture, Youth and Equality, David Martínez Noguera, who has chaired the commission, thanked “the impressive involvement of all theater and culture lovers in general, willing to pay tribute to this prominent member of the scene Spanish, of which all Cartagena are very proud. â€
In addition, he has advanced that all the acts of the Theater day will revolve around the figure of our most illustrious actor and director.
Also the Department of Education will assume a prominent role in the organization of bicentennial activities.
INTERVENTION WITH YOUR SCULPTURE
Among the actions that the City Council will carry out, through the Heritage area, the installation of a plaque is included next to the sculpture dedicated to its person that there is the San Francisco square and in which the prominent role of Isidoro Máiquez in the performing arts of his time.
This meeting was also attended by the mayor of Education, Irene Ruiz, and Culture, Carlos Piñana.
