The prize for the promotion of the employability of UPCT graduates to Navantia Dársena de Cartagena, SA will also be awarded for their collaborative career in this field through business practices, recruitment of graduates, training programs and other activities together with UPCT for the promotion of employment.
For its part, the La Huertecica Collective will receive an award for its commitment in the fight against the social exclusion of vulnerable groups throughout a long history at the local, regional and national levels.
In addition, the award for the best UPCT executive will be released by the industrial engineer and Telecommunications engineer Raúl Chimilla Pina, who achieved two degrees in the Cartagena Polytechnic in 2003 and 2006 and is currently Vice President of Operations for the US Manufacturing Division of the Cosentino Group.
Finally, Professor Raúl Zornoza will be recognized as the best researcher for his activity in R & D & I projects recognized in competitive public calls and for his prolific scientific production of high quality and impact.
The academic act of Saint Thomas of Aquino this year at the UPCT will also have the investiture as Doctor Honoris Causa of the expert in artificial intelligence and 'machine learning' Hojjat Adeli, professor emeritus of the Ohio State University.
