The City Council of Cartagena, will allocate spaces of the current health center of San Antón, once it is moved to its new location, to expand the facilities of the Association of Family and Friends of Alzheimer's Patients (AFAL).

To provide better communication with Alzheimer's patients, the Autonomous Community has signed a collaboration agreement with the Association of Family and Friends of Alzheimer's Patients.

The Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, stressed that "the work staff of health centers in the region, such as neurologists, psychologists and speech therapists, will be available to AFAL to give training and talks, in addition to reporting the existence of the association to people diagnosed with Alzheimer's and their families. "

In addition, he highlighted the "fundamental effort of associations such as AFAL as support for healthcare in counseling both the patient and the family."

From AFAL, who has been working for 25 years in the region of Cartagena, the association's manager, Raúl Nieto, has been grateful that with this agreement there is "one more step to initiate communication that should be transversal in the aging process as it is family, research and health, because you have to be prepared.
