Close ties with the Ministry to collaborate in the improvement of the city's supply squares (15/01/2020)

The Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Commerce, Manuel Padín, met Tuesday with the Director General of Commerce, Consumption and Handicrafts, Carolina Espinosa, to discuss issues related to the area, taking advantage of his visit to the port city.

On the table, the mayor of Commerce has put the need for close collaboration between the two administrations to try to find synergies that contribute to the improvement of supply spaces, both Santa Florentina and Gisbert.

Manuel Padín asked the director general for permanent contact so that the City Council of Cartagena can participate in as many calls for aid and subsidies as can be called both regionally and Europeanly.

For this, both have been called to an upcoming meeting in which it is also expected to have the general director of the European Union, Juan José Martínez, and the European Projects Councilor, Cristina Mora.

During the meeting, the councilor wanted to put on the table other issues related to the Commerce sector and, by extension, the tourism framework, such as the installation of public toilets so that customers and visitors of the city can make use of them during your shopping or sightseeing tours.

In this sense, Manuel Padín has reiterated the interest that the General Directorate of Commerce can implement initiatives that help to implement these and other municipal projects.
