Enrique Pérez asks for the resignation of Juan Pedro Torralba and the immediate relief of the Government delegate (15/01/2020)

This morning, the newspaper La Verdad echoed the neighborhood's concern because of the growing insecurity that we suffer in almost all of our municipality.

A situation in which, in addition to the unpredictability of the authors' unlawful behavior, we must add the disastrous institutional management in terms of security, with the usual lack of troops in our streets and the delay in the incorporation of new members.

All this has caused that the neighbors had to go out to the streets to defend their integrity and their homes.

A dantesque scenario that seems not to have come to an end.

In this context, the Councilor of the Municipal Group MC Cartagena, Enrique Pérez, has lamented that the ineptitude of this Government has come to "jeopardize the highest priority: guarantee the safety of streets and houses."

"The deficiencies are more than evident, as are the solutions; increase the workforce; demand the main position of the Civil Guard that we have been demanding and the extension of the area of influence of the National Police. Definitely, we require more management, means and coordination , but above all, political will. "

Regarding the need to transform the Cartagena barracks into the main post, Pérez recalled that it is a requirement "shared with the Unified Association of Civil Guards. The Cartagena, El Albujón, La Unión and Fuente Álamo barracks belong to the 5th Company. , the only one in the Region that lacks a main position. "

Subsequently, the Councilor Cartagener has lamented that "to the obvious lack of troops must be added the passivity of transfugas and the PP, not to claim the central government the necessary reinforcement and demonstrating that their concern is more for the photo and posture, and not so for security. "

The mayor has denounced that "the permanent citizen insecurity suffered by our municipality is the vivid image of the incapacity of the local Government, whose background to this social alarm we already know what it has been: no measure except to delay the incorporation of the new police officers whose places are they owe to the management of Mayor José López ".

He also added that "precisely when this insecurity is news again the commissioner of the Local Police of Cartagena has taken office; from MC we wish him the best of luck since there is no doubt that the work he has for in front it will be arduous and complex. "

"We also know today that criminal acts have taken place in La Aljorra during these last hours, after ceasing the activity of neighborhood patrols organized in this population to alleviate the climate of citizen insecurity they suffer," he explained.

Pérez has shown that "it is a good time to remember that last December we proposed an initiative rejected by the Government to tackle the citizen insecurity of La Aljorra. Specifically, we proposed that a stay of the Civic Center be enabled as a base for the patrols that serve in the area, in addition to the second activity agent serving in OMITA being relocated in this new space to meet a double objective: increase the sense of security in the area, as well as facilitate the work of Body professionals. "

The Cartagenerist councilor has concluded by stating that "the Cartagena people suffer a state of insecurity that is the result of the inability of the local government and the inaction and disinterest of the state administration. Therefore, we demand the resignation of the Councilor for Citizen Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, as well as the immediate relief of the delegate of the Government, a situation that we hope will be a reality shortly after the constitution of the Central Executive ".
