MC reminds Casajús that the streets are dirty because of the 'complicity' of his Government with the concessionaire (09/01/2020)

This morning, the deputy spokesman of MC Cartagena, Jesús Giménez, has valued the statements made by the Councilor for Infrastructure, María Casajús (PP), who reported in a local media about possible measures to address the unfortunate state of dirtiness of our streets, situation of the 'friendly' relationship of the local government with the concessionaire of the road cleaning service.

"The surprising thing is that Casajús announces that it will improve the cleanliness in the streets while his fellow government members do not even let him be at the Lhicarsa meetings. With them (the concessionaire) sit Arroyo, Castejón, Torralba and even Padín, which demonstrates the ninguneo to which Castejón submits and consents to Arroyo. The Cartageneros have a government that does not serve us and, she, the enemy at home, "Giménez explained.

Subsequently, the deputy spokesman of the Cartagena training has indicated that "what Casajús should do is simple. Demand compliance with the contract. With the official who now controls it, as with the previous one, it is easy."

"In January 2018 I sent to Castejón the municipal report that detected the important breaches and details the lack of workforce."

"With this we forced the concessionaire to an intensive cleaning. Castejón agreed to call it a crash plan and not continue."

"Today Cartagena is dirtier in the streets and from the offices of the City Hall an excruciating stench emanates. It is obvious that the solution does not go through to analyze. That work is done," continued the councilor of MC Cartagena.

"What is missing is political will. But that requires transparency and defense of the general interest, just the opposite that preaches and practices this amalgam united by the clientelistic network that suffocates Cartagena," said Giménez.

Finally, the Cartagena leader has announced that "we will continue to work against this dirty collusion. And if we do not force them before, when this stage of leaks, losers and incapacitates passes, we will clean the City Hall again and force the companies to something as essential as fulfill the contract.
