Winter T-La arrives with 95 activities such as snow trips and astronomy nights (08/01/2020)

The Alternative Free Time program, T-La, organized by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena presents its new winter edition with 95 activities aimed at young people between 14 and 35 years.

In this program, which includes the months from January to March, social networks and the T-La website acquire a greater role.

As noted by the Councilor for the Area of ​​Culture, Youth and Equality, David Martínez, the intention is to "give greater prominence so that these activities reach young people through the Instagram of Youth, of the representative figures of the 19 youth correspondents and the young areas of the neighborhoods and councils. "

This year the hand program is eliminated to encourage the use of social networks, a demand by young people.

The head of the T-LA program, José María Lloret, said that "the Youth account on Facebook has more than 7,000 followers and the website receives an average of 105 daily visits."

This winter program edition has 95 activities aimed at young people between 14 and 35 years, 36 of them totally free.

The last edition of autumn closed with the participation of 3,296 young people in 68 activities, the most prominent being the trip to Granada and the getaway to the Pulpí Geode, Halloween night and the theatrical routes.

On this occasion, among the activities, the 'We are going to snow' program stands out, with 250 places available.

Those interested can choose between a day of Skiing or Snowboarding in Sierra Nevada on January 25, February 8 and March 7, a weekend trip in Sierra Nevada scheduled from February 15 to 17, and a day in Borreguiles where to enjoy a combination of activities with slides, donuts and sleds.

In the section 'Workshops and courses', workshops related to comics, theatrical interpretation, urban art, laughter therapy, emotional photography, fantasy writing and physical theater have been scheduled, among others.

The 'Astronomy Nights' return to the Quarry Youth Center on Friday, January 24, February 21 and March 13, with theoretical-practical talks about the history of our calendar, the burst of gamma rays and other themes.

In addition, this quarter the demands 'Theatrical routes' and the 'Cooking workshops' that will give prominence to seasonal cuisine are carried out.

For the winter programming, a budget of 10,000 euros has been allocated and 21 associations have participated, three of them newly incorporated into the promoter group, such as Playing Entretodos, Club Meeple and Logia Carthaginensis Wargames association, which have programmed a wide range of activities related to family games, strategy and role play.
