A medical alert dog is one of the types of assistance dogs that exist - along with guide dogs, sound signaling dogs, service dogs, emotional support dogs… .etc.
As an assistance dog, a medical alert dog is trained and trained specifically by a recognized entity.

Their goal is to train as many medical alert dogs as possible to help people and families in need, without costing them money.
All the cost of training, training, parenting and the personalized monitoring of each case is paid by the foundation, which in turn receives it from solidarity fundraising campaigns and collaboration agreements with private entities.
Thus, COEC joins this social initiative to give visibility to Assistance Dogs, also advancing in the project that has been carried out for a few days: the creation of the SHELDON Running Club, an athletic club with only one purpose, to give Visibility to Assistance Dogs.
