A hundred-year-old pine tree fallen during the DANA adorns the patio of San Miguel in the form of a bank (19/12/2019)

The patio of the Administrative Building of San Miguel has a new bank, in the shape of a you and me, carved from a centennial pine tree that was in the old municipal nursery of the Barrio de la Concepción and fell during adverse weather events that brought DANA during last September.

With this initiative and others, such as filling with wood chip parterres in the gardens of the municipality, the Department of Infrastructure, through its Service of Parks and Gardens, tries to take advantage of the trunks of trees that are to be discarded, as it has explained the mayor of Public Road and Urban Services, Juan Pedro Torralba.

The wooden seat, which has a provisional plate containing the participants in its elaboration, has been designed by the staff of the ACTUA ACCIONA and PROLAM-ASTUS.

In addition to the exchange of the plate for a definitive one, the bank will be adorned with the typical floral elements of a small Zen garden.
