The Association of Merchants of La Aljorra offers 23 shops for all audiences, as well as three major events during the year to fill the deputation with life: the Craft Beer and Cheese Fair, the Ecological Fair and the Christmas Campaign.
There are two fairs.
On the one hand, that of beer and artisan cheese is celebrated, for which cheesemakers and brewers of the Campo de Cartagena are invited, as stated by the president of the Association of Merchants of La Aljorra, Damián Martínez Conesa.
An ecological fair is also held here, in which farmers from the region participate.
In addition, local businesses organize a special campaign during the Christmas holidays.
According to the president of the Association of Merchants of La Aljorra, the objective of the group is to "boost trade in this council, that we know both the residents of the town and people outside."
In La Aljorra, you can find shops of all kinds, tobacconists, bars, fashion stores, herbalists, perfumeries, supermarkets and a photo shop.
The Agency for Local Development and Employment of Cartagena focuses today on this group of merchants from La Aljorra within its campaign to promote local commerce in the municipality of Cartagena.
In this way, the ADLE wants to reflect the work carried out by the different associations of merchants in the town.
