The Cartagena coast in orange warning this afternoon due to strong winds and waves (22/11/2019)

The Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has established the orange warning on the entire coast of the municipality of Cartagena due to waves and strong winds from the southwestern force eight.

The alert will be activated this afternoon at 8 pm and will remain until 24 hours.

From the Firefighting and Rescue Service (SIX) of the City Council of Cartagena, caution is advised to citizens and avoid approaching the coastal areas.

The strong winds will not only be noticed on the coast, but also inside the municipality where AEMET itself maintains a yellow warning that has been activated this morning at 10 am and will continue until seven o'clock on Saturday morning, with winds up to 70 kilometers per hour.

Also for this case from the City Council it is advisable to remove from the facades of the buildings those elements that can be dragged by the wind such as pots, awnings or blinds and avoid passing near walls or wooded areas from which branches can be detached.
