The XXIX Poetry Contest and the XIII Angel Flores Painting Contest are underway (14/11/2019)

The Women's Center of the Mediterranean Urbanization launches the XXIX Poetry Contest and the XIII Angel Flores Painting Contest.

The deadline to participate in the poetry contest is open until February 7, 2020. All persons who have not written any poetry book before may participate.

The theme of the poems presented will be free and will have to be written in Spanish.

There will be prizes of 300 euros for the winning work and 150 euros for the second prize.

All finalists will receive a trophy and diploma.

Both contests have the collaboration of the Department of Equality of the City of Cartagena.

The poems presented will have an extension of between 20 and 50 verses.

The typography of the letter will be Times New Roman with body 14 on one side and in triplicate.

Only one poem per author will be admitted.

The works must go unsigned, having to use a pseudonym.

In a sealed envelope, personal data, such as name and surname, ID, address and telephone number will be entered.

Winners in previous editions of this contest may not participate in this edition.

This envelope will be sent to Calle Diamante, 8 under commercial of Urbanización Mediterráneo 30310 of Cartagena.

The envelope must indicate 'for the XXIX Poetry Contest of the Women's Center'.

The jury will consist of personalities from education and culture, as well as the president of the Women's Center of the Mediterranean Urbanization.

The jury will issue its ruling on March 7, 2020 at 8:30 p.m. and will be published in the media.

As for the XIII Angel Flores Painting Contest, all adults who reside in the Region of Murcia may participate.

Any full-color, free-themed pictorial technique will be admitted.

The work must have a minimum size of 50x50 cm.

Each author may submit a maximum of 3 works.

All paintings must have a small frame.

The signature or name of the author should not be visible.

The name of the pseudonym, photocopy of the ID and contact phone number must be in a sealed envelope, attached behind the work or works presented.

The works will be sent to 'Brushstrokes' in C / Amatista de Urbanización Mediterráneo 30310 de Cartagena.

The deadline for submission of works will begin on January 7, 2020 and end on February 29, 2020.

The first prize will be endowed with 300 euros and a trophy, while the second prize will be 150 euros and a trophy.

The jury's decision will be made public on March 7, 2020 at 8:30 p.m.

Winners will be published in the media.

The center will communicate to the winners the day and time at which the prizes will be delivered.

The Women's Center of the Mediterranean Urbanization will own the two winning works.

The rest of the works must be withdrawn within 20 days of the jury's decision.

After the deadline, the works will become property of this center.
