The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure has financed the acquisition of a new adapted vehicle for the Association of relatives and friends of patients with Alzheimer's disease and other pathologies in Cartagena and Comarca (AFAL).
The general director of Mobility and Coastline, Marina Munuera, assured today during the act of delivering the vehicle to the representative of AFAL Cartagena, Concepción Martínez, that “the regional government contributes in this way to guarantee the mobility of people with disabilities and to promote its social inclusion. "
Munuera said that “with this new vehicle, assistance to the sick and their families will be facilitated, guaranteeing their transfer in a comfortable and safe way from their homes, located in the municipalities of Mazarrón, Fuente Álamo, Torre Pacheco, San Pedro del Pinatar, Los Alcázares, San Javier, La Unión and Cartagena, to the center where the therapies for the promotion of personal autonomy are carried out â€.
This regional aid amounting to 2,043 euros is part of a call for subsidies for the acquisition, lease or adaptation of vehicles for people with disabilities who had recognized the degree of reduced mobility.
