In an interview last year I declare that: "For me a poem has to say something and here I include a memory, a daily episode or a mythical story. The narrative need comes from the luck of having told a grandmother who told me traditional stories In Portugal, the peasant culture is very important and that's where my interest in orality comes from. My poems are not only to be read, but also to be heard. "
