The City Council takes note of the ASTEAMUR project to expand the former Villalba school as a space for the association (11/11/2019)

The vice mayor and councilor of the area of ​​Social Welfare, Noelia Arroyo, held on Monday November 11 a meeting with the board of ASTEAMUR to meet the most immediate needs and demands of the association and move forward in the project to expand the former school of Villalba , whose facilities were ceded by the City Council of Cartagena in April 2019.

Arroyo has highlighted the great work that this association does to families and people who have autism spectrum disorder.

“It's a young association but it has a lot of work ahead.

There is a lot of demand to provide that service and they have the necessary projects that need the support of all administrations, ”explained the vice mayor.

To do this, Arroyo has said that he has taken note for the City Council to study the expansion project so that “in the facilities that it has in the old school of Villalba, the association can provide training for those adults and advance in the promotion services of personal autonomy ”, which would be added to early attention and child development, which are currently being provided in the center of Cabezo Beaza.

ASTEAMUR

ASTEAMUR (Association for People with Autism Spectrum Disorder of the Region of Murcia) is a non-profit parent association whose goal is to help people with ASD.

He was born in 2011 to improve the care and quality of life of people with ASD and their families.
