The UPCT renews its evaluation regulation by offering a continuous evaluation system and one compatible with other activities (05/11/2019)

The Governing Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) has approved the modification of the student evaluation regulations by offering a continuous evaluation system.

The new system will improve the acquisition of knowledge of students attending class, while allowing studies to be combined with other activities.

From now on there are two evaluation systems: one continuous, carried out in the course of teaching, and another curriculum, in extraordinary exam periods.

According to the Vice Chancellor for Students, University Extension and Sports, Sergio Amat, "this double aspect tries to improve academic rates, will favor continuous work and will also allow studies to be made compatible with other activities. We believe that this new regulation will increase academic performance without lowering the quality and requirement that characterizes the UPCT. "

In the elaboration of this regulation all department and center directors have been involved, as well as representatives of both workers and students, together with several vice-rectors.

It has been a long work of almost two years, where the different groups have shown generosity to approve by consensus a unique text.

On the other hand, the UPCT has reviewed important issues such as the requirement of minimums, coordination in the performance of partial tests, the process of review of a formative nature is differentiated from that of an administrative claim, the performance of the courts and the curricular evaluation .
