Cartageneros can enjoy more activities at the Roman Theater during the November bridge (28/10/2019)

The Roman Theater of Cartagena will be open the November bridge to provide the opportunity to visit the monument to those travelers who visit the city these days.

It will remain open on day 1 and 2 from 9.00-18.00, and on Sunday 3 from 10.00 to 14.00h.

The Roman Theater Museum also implements its activity on this bridge with themed routes and visits.

Visitors can also enjoy the temporary exhibition Eikon de Kraser.

During the tour, the visitor will face pieces inspired by sculptural works known from the Classical, Renaissance or Neoclassical period that the viewer can recognize as timeless icons, but now converted into new artistic creations where figuration, color strength, elements prevail geometric and vegetal, works that are reinterpreted with their own language, which is the personal code of the artist and urban art.

In the routes and activities in collaboration with Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, families and travelers can participate on November 1 of the theatrical route 'Romans around the world: destination Carthago Nova'.

A theatrical route full of winks and humor capsules where we will visit the most important sites, meeting different characters to tell us how their life has been in Carthago Nova.

The activity will begin at 12 noon, and will tour the Museum of the Roman Theater, the Barrio del Foro Romano and the Augusteum.

On Saturday 2, the guided route 'Cartagena flavor three cultures' will take place.

This route will reveal the medieval history and the confluence of the three cultures, Christian, Jewish and Muslim.

It will begin in the Panoramic Elevator, arriving at the Castle of the Conception, from where the whole city can be seen.

The visit will continue along the Church of Santa María la Mayor until you reach the Museum of the Roman Theater.

The route will end with the tasting of a typical tapa of Jewish or Muslim cuisine.

The tour will begin at 11.30 am from the Panoramic elevator.

On Sunday 3, it will be the turn of the guided route 'Citizens of an Empire', which will begin at the Roman Theater at 11:30 am and continue through the Barrio del Foro Romano and the Casa de la Fortuna.

On the route you will know the splendor of the Roman city of Carthago Nova, where the Theater dedicated to the imperial family and the Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis and the god Serapis were built, along with large thermal complexes decorated with paintings and mosaics and buildings of banquets of sacred character decorated with paintings, to end up approaching daily life with a visit to the house of Fortune.

Also on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3, the Roman Theater Museum proposes a 'Virtual visit to the Roman Theater of Cartagena: new experiences'.

A guided visit to the Museum of the Roman Theater of Cartagena with virtual reality that will allow you to immerse yourself, through virtual glasses, in the old building.

The theater can be visualized in 360 degrees as it was at the time, flying over it or seeing a small pampering of the time, leaving at 11.00 a.m. from the Roman Theater Museum.

Online tickets can be purchased on the Cartagena Puerto de Culturas website and in the centers and museums of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.
