Musicians Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent and Tino di Geraldo will premiere their recent work ´Flamenco Leaks´ at the Cartagena Jazz Festival (22/10/2019)

'Flamenco Leaks' is the title of the third album by Carles Benavent, Tino di Geraldo and Jorge Pardo, which was published Tuesday, October 22 on all digital platforms.

20 years have passed since the live recording of 'El Concierto de Sevilla' (1999), a cult and reference album for lovers of both jazz and flamenco, and that brought together for the first time what fans of flamenco jazz have baptized as The Trio.

The album will be presented for the first time on stage at the Cartagena Jazz Festival, next Saturday, November 2, at 9:30 p.m., in a double program with the Sevillian pianist Dorantes.

It will be at the Nuevo Teatro Circo de Cartagena and tickets cost 20 euros.

"Carles Benavent, Tino di Geraldo and Jorge Pardo had long been recognized as excellent musicians in several musical territories and almost the entire earth globe. Three types of diverse backgrounds, a Madrid who struggled to be a jazz musician, a Catalan in the Progressive rock and an Asturian raised in punk Fortunately, flamenco crossed their careers and transformed themselves, they went from being the best in theirs to being UNIQUE Artists, musicians who assume the possibility of creating as a possible challenge "says José Manuel Gómez, on the promotion sheet of the album.

"Jorge and Carles enrolled in the sextet of Paco de Lucía (the most international project in the history of flamenco) and Tino went on to record with Camarón de la Isla. Years and millions of music went by. They had been playing together for so long. they imagined playing only the three ... until one day everyone else failed and they had to decide between playing or not playing ... Jorge, Carles and Tino have recorded a lot, they have done a lot of music together and separately. that have been recorded can be heard again, "added music critic Gomez Gufi.

This trio of aces continues to embody the strongest commitment of flamenco jazz.

His remains the most fruitful experience that local jazz has been able to give, as a result of the union between two musical languages, such as jazz and flamenco.

They come to Cartagena to present 'Flamenco Leaks', an album conceived and created in the studio and live almost entirely, except for two issues that allow the license to honor great legends such as Camarón, Paco de Lucia and Chick Corea, from whom they have received so much and collaborated with them many times.

There are no more secrets.

It is music to be heard.
