The Municipal Council of Children and Adolescents of Cartagena has been working since last week on the proposals that will be taken to the municipal plenary before the end of the year, beginning with a first meeting that was held on Wednesday, October 2.
In this first session, the council continued with the elaboration of the proposals on the main theme of the work that "leisure in childhood and adolescence" have been following throughout the year.
Formed by 25 minors between the ages of 9 and 17, the Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents, emerges as a participation body in September 2018 as a specific space for the Cartagena City Council for active children's participation in city life .
It is a mechanism for the active collaboration of children with each other and with the adult population in municipal policies, these being a representation of the whole of childhood within our city, all of them belonging to different social action entities and municipal areas of the town hall from which one works with childhood and adolescence.
For the month of November, the council will hold another meeting to continue working towards its intervention in the municipal plenary before the end of the year.
