For the first time, the race will enter the Pier of San Pedro, with a route between the containers and the cantile of the pier, below the cranes
All prepared for the IV Solidarity Race 10K Port of Cartagena, organized by the Port Authority of Cartagena and the Runtritón Sports Club, in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, of the starting gun next Saturday, October 5.
With 1800 registered runners, the test will start at 10:30 am for the hiking trail and at 6:00 pm, the different races, with departure and finish at the Port of Cartagena, near the esplanade of Heroes de Cavite.
The main test, the 10K Port of Cartagena, for all categories, will have its departure at 19 hours.
In addition, due to heavy rains, the test will also be the 24th round of the calendar of the Popular Racing League Running Challenge (RCH) 2018/2019, replacing the “Correlimos 13.4”.
This is the fourth edition of this solidarity race that, on this occasion, will allocate the benefits to the Pablo Ugarte Association for help in the fight against childhood cancer.
Mainly, the funds will be used to support childhood cancer research teams, help children and families of children affected by cancer, as well as those suffering from long-term illnesses.
One of the great attractions of the race will be the presence of Juan Ignacio Fernández, official chronicler of Cartagena, in 3 stops on the Saturday hiking route.
These will be the Cartagena of 1900, the Batteries of Costa and Escombreras, and the third in the heart of the Santa Lucía neighborhood.
The collection of bibs will be held at the cruise terminal on Friday, October 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
and Saturday from 10 to 14 hours and from 16 hours to half an hour before the start of the race.
Throughout the day, there will be a children's area 'Fun Zone', with inflatables and entertainment.
There will be a space to buy solidarity bracelets, t-shirts and other items .. It will also be served at noon and at night, a solidarity paella.
There will be free musical performances by "Cinnamon in Rama", at noon, and "All Secrets", at night.
