Firefighters of the Firefighting, Rescue and Civil Protection Service of the City Council of Cartagena suffocated a fire that had occurred in a meter cabinet in a building on Calle del Carmen earlier this afternoon.
About 14:50 hours the notice of the 112 central of the Region of Murcia was received.
A full complement of four firefighters and a driver quickly arrived at the place, aboard a light urban pump vehicle.
Upon arrival they verified that the burning counter was located on the first floor and that the plant was flooded with smoke, so the fire was extinguished and then the building was ventilated to evacuate the smoke.
There was no need to regret more material damage than the meter cabinet itself.
