The Children's Traffic Park improves its accessibility (12/09/2019)

The Children's Traffic Park of the City of Cartagena, located between Angel Bruna and Ribera de San Javier streets, will remain closed to the public for three weeks to make it accessible to people with disabilities and improve their vertical and horizontal signage.

The action, under the Department of Public Road, directed by Juan Pedro Torralba, is part of the actions that have been carried out in various areas of the city, neighborhoods and districts, especially on the sidewalks to allow people with disabilities and according to the universal accessibility ordinance approved by the city council on March 2018.

In the Children's Traffic Park the steps that are in the accesses will be eliminated and the curbs of three pedestrian crossings will be lowered, also creating an accessible itinerary inside.

The action will be completed with the total repainting of the horizontal signs and the replacement of the vertical ones, with a view to the beginning of the activities of the road education program that the Local Police will develop in this installation together with the Department of Education, from the next October 9
