The intersection of Jorge Juan with Ramón y Cajal due to the rupture of a water supply pipe has been cut off to traffic (12/09/2019)

A breakdown in the junction of the supply pipeline of the Commonwealth of Channels of the Taibilla with the municipal drinking water network, has caused the traffic cut of the intersection of Jorge Juan streets with Ramón y Cajal, in the vicinity of the Municipal Archaeological Museum Enrique Escudero de Castro.

The rapid intervention of the City Council of Cartagena through the concessionary company Hidrogea, allowed to restore the supply to homes in the area, which were without water for about two hours.

A dozen people work since this morning in the underground location of the breakdown and its repair, to subsequently replace the firm that has deteriorated by the outbreak of water that has caused the breakage and the consequent drag of land.

It is expected that traffic will be restored in the area throughout the weekend.

Meanwhile, the Local Police have established alternative access routes mainly for trucks and heavy vehicles that supply goods to the nearby mall and supermarkets.
