Comedy, musicals and zarzuela at the Teatro Circo Apolo in El Algar for this fall (10/09/2019)

The Apollo Circus Theater of El Algar reopens its doors a new season with a very diverse program full of comedy, musicals for the whole family or zarzuela from October 5 to January 3 in collaboration with the Department of Culture of Cartagena City Council and La Pecera Cultural Activities.

It was this Tuesday, September 10, when the Councilor of the Area of ​​Culture, Youth and Equality of Cartagena, David Martínez, together with the artistic director of the Teatro Circo Apolo de El Algar, Cristina Roca, presented the shows that will host this emblematic Theater in the City Hall.

The premiere of the play 'The dummy of the boat' on October 5 opens this program, based on one of Lina Morgan's most famous films, this being a musical adaptation with a total of 18 actors on stage, continuing with the performance of the great worldwide pianist Anna Fedorova along with four other musicians.

It also highlights the work 'It is not a country for blacks', which will lead viewers to the representation of the life of women in Africa in a dramatic comedy also showing the issue of racism that follows the objective of raising awareness.

The actor Chete Guzmán will bring us 'The shadow of the tenorium', a work of reflection that will get us into a more emotional aspect.

They also follow the activities dedicated to the little ones with the musicals of 'The Wizard of Oz', 'Campanilla' or 'Remember Me', a tribute to the movie Coco.

To bring the theater closer to the little ones, a school campaign will be carried out with the representation of 'The Wizard of Oz' for schools in the municipality with several passes in the morning on November 29 at a price of 4 euros.

Zarzuela shows are also part of the tradition of this theater, which this season continues with 'The bunch of roses' along with the musical 'Christmas toast', both by the Lyric Company of Zarzuela in Madrid, but also comedy with 'The boss' or 'Andalusian surnames'.

As part of the usual program that is represented each year, the Apollo Circus Theater continues with the shows belonging to 'More Apollo' such as the Apollo Rock concerts, the play based on Tim Burton's film, 'Tim's Nightmares' with Halloween motive, or the traditional charity gala of the Volley Fest and the Neighborhood Association.

Tickets for all the shows will be on sale from this Wednesday, September 11, on the website of the Circus Apollo Theater www.teatrocircoapoloelalgar.es or at the box office from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesdays, and also at Post offices.

Discounted tickets will also be available for those wishing to attend several works and a season ticket will be raffled on the Instagram profile of the Apollo Circus Theater.
