The deadline to register the short films in the 48th edition of the FICC, which will be held from November 24 to 30, in Cartagena, ends.
In total, yesterday, September 9, 657 works were received to participate in the two sections of the FICC competition: National and International Shorts, section that hosts both Spanish and foreign shorts, and Murcine, the specific section for the filmmakers of the Region of Murcia, in which 42 short films have been registered.
The selected short films will be announced at the end of October, will be screened during the week of the festival and will compete for the 3,000 euros with which the Best Short Film of the Official Section is awarded where, in addition, there will be awards for the best direction, photography, script and interpretation.
On the other hand, in the Murcine section, the first prize 'Carabela de Plata Ciudad de Cartagena' will be 1,500 euros, while the second, the 'Peral Submarine', will be 500 euros.
