The City Council of Cartagena hires the study of soil characterization of the environment of the San Agustín raft (06/09/2019)

The City Council of Cartagena has contracted the study of physicochemical characterization and risk analysis and proposals for corrective measures of the municipal property plot in the vicinity of the San Agustín raft, located in the Llano del Beal county council.

Together with the company Portmán Golf, to which 60% of the land belongs, the Consistory is co-owner of this space.

Specifically, he owns a plot cataloged for educational use, which extends to 40% of the total land of the old raft.

As planned, last Wednesday, September 4, the municipal technicians and staff of the company began the process of sampling the soil of the plot next to the CEIP San Ginés de la Jara, which was supervised by the Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz.

The mayor stressed that “the government team demonstrates with this action our unequivocal commitment to solve the pollution problems suffered by the localities of the Sierra Minera.

If in the previous legislature the courtyards of both the Infant unit of the Strait of San Ginés and the El Llano del Beal Primary center were paved, now we want to carry out corrective measures in the environment of this raft that, as everyone knows, It is very close to the center. ”

The soil characterization study, which must be completed within a maximum period of two months, has been contracted to the company Hera Holding Habitat Ecología y Restauración Ambiental SL for a value of 5,616.12 euros.

The file has been processed by the Environment delegation, which is directed by the mayor Cristina Mora.
