Enrollment until the 15th of the registration in the free course of digital competitions for young mothers of the UPCT (03/09/2019)

Cloud Incubator Hub, the technological incubator of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), has extended until Sunday 15 September the registration period in the free course of technological training in digital skills for mothers and pregnant women between 15 and 29 years who It will be taught between the end of September and the beginning of December.

About twenty mothers have already signed up for the course, which finances the European MommyPreneurs technology and business training project, launched by the UPCT.

Among those registered, the majority are unemployed, but there are also active workers, as well as young people with both higher and basic training, from Cartagena, La Unión, Los Alcázares and Murcia.

MommyPreneurs will train mothers in information technologies, such as website design, electronic commerce, social networks and digital marketing, with the aim of facilitating their access to the labor market or the creation of their own business.

Among the tasks that students will have to perform is the creation of electronic stores with online sales tools and dissemination campaigns on social networks.

Strengthening the technological qualification of young women for whom motherhood involves a work stoppage and the promotion of teleworking are other aspirations of the course, which will be held in person three morning a week, in three-hour sessions adapted to the schedule It is better for mothers.

“There is the possibility of financing daycare hours,†explains Andrés Carrillo, director of Operations for Cloud Incubator HUB.

Another four hours a week of online work complete the dedication that will be the training program for enrollees, which will begin on September 23.

The Mommy Preneurs project is developed in collaboration with six other countries of the European Union: Cyprus, Romania, Lithuania, Italy, Poland and Portugal.

It will facilitate, within two years, more than one thousand young mothers to participate in training programs for two months.

It is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grant Fund and Norway for Youth Employment.
