The Network of Libraries opens the deadline for activities of animation to the reading agreed with school centers (02/09/2019)

Today, Monday, September 2, the Network of Municipal Libraries of Cartagena opens the deadline to request the “Activities agreed with the School Centers for reading animation”.

The offer includes a total of 11 different proposals adapted to each school year, from Infant to 2nd of the ESO.

Some of them are available for all sections, such as Welcome to the Library or Encounters with Author, which this year brings us, among others, to writers Antonio Rubio, Carmen Gil, Gabriel Garca de Oro, and illustrators Ximena Maier , Puri Hernndez as well as the Lechuza Team.

The Network of Municipal Libraries of Cartagena has been carrying out these activities of animation for reading since its inception twenty-five years ago, working in collaboration with the different schools of the municipality as well as with the publishing houses that make this programming possible.

During the previous school year more than 6,500 boys and girls participated in them.

The purpose of these is to bring children closer to reading and familiarize them with libraries, so that they understand them as one more option, not only for study, but for leisure and entertainment.

To participate in them, the schools must request them through the library website, on the banner available for it or by clicking on the following link.

To complete the process they must identify themselves with the user that the Department of Education provides to the centers to access their web portal.

The deadline for Meetings with Author is November 4 and the rest of activities will be active until December 20.
