Galúa Beach opens with a yellow flag to allow bathing up to 50 meters from the shore (28/08/2019)

Galúa beach has opened at two in the afternoon with a yellow flag, allowing bathing up to 50 meters from the shore, according to sources from the Civil Protection service of the City of Cartagena.

The measure has been adopted before the influx of bathers to the area and the null arrival of wreckage of the wrecked plane in the last hours.

However, vigilance is maintained in the area and the warning to bathers that they do appear immediately.

The Monte Blanco beach is still closed for the bath until the work of extracting the remains of the Air Force plane that rushed to the sea last Monday, its pilot, Francisco Marín Núñez, dies.

The objective is to recover any remainder that contributes to clarify the causes of the accident.

For this reason, an appeal has been made to the citizens to collaborate in the recovery of any type of rest that can be found at any point of the coast or at sea and to make it reach the Civil Protection personnel located in the area .
