Municipal commitment to reactivate the commercial center of the polygon of Santa Ana (09/08/2019)

The Councilor for Commerce and Health of the City of Cartagena, Manuel Padín, met this Thursday, August 8, with the president and the secretary of the Conservation Entity of the Santa Ana Residential Estate, Cayetano García and Pedro Luis Ros, respectively, to Know first hand the needs of the entity regarding its areas of government.

One of the main topics of the meeting was the situation of the shopping center 'El Jardín de Santa Ana', which adds more than three years without activity and now opens a door to new management opportunities with “good prospectsâ€, as indicated those responsible for the Conservation Entity.

This is a private facility that acquired a real estate subsidiary of La Caixa at auction in 2016. The Councilor for Commerce and Health has shown the commitment of the local government to promote the revival of the center in terms of municipal powers such as opening licenses or streamlining bureaucratic procedures, among others.

From the administrative entity of the residential nucleus they have indicated that the recovery of the shopping center could serve as a dynamic effect of the area, coordinating the jobs generated with the Local Development and Employment Agency (ADLE) of the City Council in order to have the largest number of new employees of the population and the municipality.

Manuel Padín has explained that reactivating the commercial center of the residential estate is “fundamental†so that a population that has become “an example of citizen management†continues to grow.

And, from the Conservation Entity they manage the polygon through an agreement with the City Council that allows them to manage the security, cleaning and waste of the residential, among other matters.

Also, from the administrative entity of the polygon, the Councilor for Commerce and Health has been informed of the delivery of two defibrillators by La Caixa to the Conservation Entity, which will be located in the Miralmonte school and at the headquarters of the agency and that They join three others already in the population.

In this way, the residential estate will have five teams of defibrillators so they have asked the mayor to join the Ciudad Cardioprotegida initiative, which takes place in the Old Town and in the municipal educational centers.

In this sense, those responsible for the Conservation Entity have pointed out that, once in the circuit of the Cardioprotected City, some training courses for the use of these devices could be launched from the City Council.

The delivery of the equipment will take place during the festivities of the population, which will take place from September 5 to 8 and finalize their preparations.

In fact, one of the reasons for the meeting between Manuel Padín and those responsible for the Conservation Entity has been the invitation to participate in the celebrations.

And it is that, in a few years, it has been achieved that the parties are a reference in the environment of the residential nucleus and throughout the municipality, which has highlighted the councilor as “a sign that the polygon has many possibilities of growthâ€.

Finally, the mayor of Commerce and Health has highlighted the work that is being carried out in the residential estate from the Conservation Entity, as well as, the actions implemented by the Urban Services and Decentralization areas, highlighting the work of his colleagues in Local government, Juan Pedro Torralba and Diego Ortega, respectively.
