Los Belones will enjoy its Shopping Night for the seventh consecutive year, which will take place as a novelty during the week instead of on Saturday, specifically on Thursday, August 8, starting at 5 p.m.
A commercial initiative organized by the Association of Merchants of Los Belones ACOBE, which has the collaboration of the Department of Commerce of the City of Cartagena.
The presentation of the event, this Thursday, August 1, was given by the Councilor for the Commerce area, Manuel Padín, who has been accompanied by the president of ACOBE, Carlos Pérez, and the chef Pablo Guardiola.
In addition, the event has had the voice and music of Julio Álvarez, one of the members of the musical group 'Los Recortables', which acts at the event.
The mayor of Commerce, Manuel Padín, said "that for the first time the Calle Mayor de Los Belones will be cut to turn it into a real pedestrian boulevard so that attendees can do their shopping and enjoy the show without problems."
Within the Shopping Night, four complementary activities have been scheduled: the I Mar Menor Urban Art Festival, the I Dos Mares Street Festival and Gastrobelones 1.0 Music Festival.
According to the mayor of Commerce "these activities together with Shopping Night make Los Belones the epicenter of commerce in Cartagena."
On the one hand, at the I Mar Menor Urban Art Festival, several artists will paint the facades of the town and a specialist will carve a piece of wood on a log with a chainsaw.
Gastrobelones 1.0 will bring the traditional culinary products of the municipality to the attendees, while the I Dos Mares Street Festival Music Festival will feature the musical performances of the Cartagena groups 'Ayoho' and 'Los Recortables', the Venezuelan composer 'Georgina' and the Galician singer 'Villanueva'.
In the Plaza de la Iglesia Stage, Cartagena's musicians' Los Recortables' will be showing their direct and addictive pop rock at 10:00 p.m., the Venezuelan singer and songwriter based in Spain, 'Georgina', will present her latest studio album ' Welcome to my room 'at 00:00 hours, and the Cartagena group that has managed to enter the most important lists of the Nordic Countries and New York with their themes, some of them in series like' Under the Net 'of TVE, 'Ayoho', will perform from 1:00 to 2:00 hours, at hours of his performance at the Urban Stage of the Sonorama Ribera Festival in Aranda de Duero.
In the Calle Mayor Stage, the Galician author, composer and singer of rock songs, 'Villanueva', will be in acoustics at 10:50 p.m., presenting some songs in advance of his third album, which will be released in November.
The president of ACOBE, Carlos Pérez, stressed that in addition to the concerts, there will be “DJ Isi Bernal, a Batucada, the fusion rhythms of Xtormba, the Chirigota de Los Singuangos, the Comparas de Aporue y Perseidas and the Tuna de Medicina de the University of Murcia ”.
Coinciding with this commercial night, the different stores and establishments will have discounts, gifts and raffles, such as La Manga Club that will raffle a dinner for two.
