The new Master in Telematic Engineering of the UPCT will specialize in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Virtual Reality (23/07/2019)

The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) will specialize engineers in the areas most demanded by the industry: Cybersecurity, Software Development (DevOps), Virtualization, Electronic Administration, Internet of Things, Virtual and Augmented Reality and Technologies for Artificial Intelligence.

These subjects, among others, will be taught in the new master's degree in Telematic Engineering, approved today by the Interuniversity Council of the Region of Murcia and will be taught by the Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineering (ETSIT).

These studies are taught in collaboration with the productive sector.

Companies of recognized prestige in the field of telecommunications and already employing numerous alumni of the UPCT will teach part of the teaching.

“The insertion of the companies in the master's degree will allow them to have their point of view regarding the competences that the students will acquire and will provide them with direct contact with those who can then hire them”, highlights the coordinator of the Master, Esteban Egea.

“The Master in Telematics Engineering is aimed at providing advanced, specialized and multidisciplinary training, aimed at both job placement and the beginning of a research career in the area of ​​Telematics, giving access to the PhD program in Technologies of the

Information and Communications (ICT) ”, summarizes the director of the ETSIT, Juan ngel Pastor.

With this master the UPCT adds a new degree of professional specialization and orientation towards R + D + i.

The pre-enrollment period in the new master will open on September 10 and enrollment will be completed in October.

The master's degree is aimed at graduates of any of the Telecommunications Engineering degrees.

The new degree of specialization, which complements the degree in Telematics Engineering already taught by the Polytechnic of Cartagena, offers 25 places and will last for one year, with 60 ECTS credits.
