Cartagena prepares to teach The Sea of ​​Art (10/07/2019)

The Festival La Mar de Músicas de Cartagena is approaching.

Alongside the concerts of regional, national and international artists, exhibitions and artistic exhibitions will be held in parallel under the name of La Mar de Arte.

From Thursday, July 11 to Monday, September 30, the Consistorial Palace, Molina Palace, the Byzantine Wall, the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, the Faculty of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena - former CIM -, the El Auditorium Batel, the Esplanade of the Port and San Diego Street will be the scene of art exhibitions and exhibitions, which together form La Mar de Arte.

On Thursday, July 11, La Mar de Arte starts at the Consistorial Palace with the inauguration at 20:00 of the exhibition 'A festival a city' by Pablo Sánchez del Valle and Carlos Gallego.

The visiting hours will be from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 1:30 pm and from 5 pm to 7 pm, on Saturdays from 10 am to 1:30 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Sundays from 10 am to 1:30 pm.

It can be seen until September 30.

On July 11, another show begins at El Luzzy under the title 'In deposit.

It can be visited from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The cultural center will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Until September 30 will be open to the public.

On Monday, July 15, the exhibition "Windows of the world" by André Vicente Gonçalves opens at the former CIM - UPCT School of Business Sciences.

It will be possible to visit until August 30.

On Tuesday, July 16 will begin to exhibit at the Palacio Molina 'The power of images' prepared by Pedro Cabrita, Erwin Wurm, Jenny Holzer, Alfredo Jaar, Sophie Calle or Thomas Ruff among others.

Until September 30, interested persons can visit the exhibition from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the visiting hours will be from 11 am to 2 pm.

The exhibition will be closed on Mondays.

On Thursday, July 18, the exhibition 'Under the Sign of the Moon' by Valter Vinagre will be shown at the Byzantine Wall.

It can be visited until September 30 from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm from Tuesday to Friday.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the opening hours will be from 11 am to 2 pm.

On Mondays it will not be possible to visit.

From July 22 come the exhibitions of the El Batel Auditorium.

Here you can see the show 'Not only, but also' by Pepo Devesa and Mario Méndez, as well as 'Cover of Trending Tropics' by Alberto González Arellanos until August 30.

The visiting hours of both samples will be from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm.

Since July 24, the Explanada del Puerto de Cartagena hosts the exhibition 'Inside out' by JR.

That same day will begin a mural intervention in San Diego Street that will last until Sunday, July 28.
