Open the registration period for guided tours to Cueva Victoria (09/07/2019)

The paleontological site of Cueva Victoria will reopen its doors to the public this summer.

On the occasion of the next work camp in the paleontological site of Cueva Victoria in the deputation of Beal, between July 15 and August 11, promoted by the Cidaris Foundation, the City of Cartagena and the Autonomous Community.

As explained by the Councilor for the Culture Area, David Martínez Noguera, "18 tours of the Victoria Cave have been organized simultaneously so that the general public can witness the discoveries and advances that are being made, once resumed the research process, after seven years of inactivity. "

The personnel of the excavation will be in charge of the guided visits, which will begin at 12.00 and will last approximately 45 minutes.

The maximum number of people per group during the visit will be 20 participants, not admitting children under 10 years due to the characteristics of the cave.

The days of visit will be the following: July 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 30, as well as days 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of August.

The public that wants to attend can reserve their place through the OMITA of the Beal, being the contact person Isabel Guirado through the telephone 639 64 10 08.

In this same context, the mayor has announced that next Thursday July 11, is going to make a visit to Cueva Victoria for Local Police, Civil Guard and Environment, "to inform them of the rich heritage of Cueva Victoria and the different figures of protection that counts as much the paleontological deposit as Cabezo de San Ginés ".
