Students of Agronomists, Industrialists and 'Teleco' of the UPCT will begin in logistics 4.0 with the chair Primafrío (05/06/2019)

Primafrio, the first fruit and vegetable transport company in Spain and one of the most important in Europe, has joined the Network of Chairs of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), where it will develop R + D + i actions in the field of logistics 4.0 and road transport.

The objective of the new chair focuses on the practical application of knowledge and promotion of innovation and includes the possibility of calling scholarships for students of the Agronomic, Industrial and Telecommunication Engineering schools, as well as for the completion of final degree projects and end of master.

The creation of the chair, which was signed this morning at the headquarters of Primafrio, located in Alhama de Murcia, will facilitate collaboration with researchers from the Polytechnic in projects of knowledge transfer to the company, as well as courses permanent training for the staff of Primafrio and the completion of business practices by students of the UPCT;

all this, in areas of common interest.

"The ultimate goal is to remain at the forefront of the sector, be pioneers and promote scientific exchange on specific topics on logistics and refrigerated transport, as well as technology, security, automation, transport and storage of goods in their correct atmosphere or air quality management, among other areas ", according to Juan Conesa, General Director of Grupo Primafrio.

Primafrio is the first transport company of fruit and vegetable products in Spain and one of the most important in Europe.
