The muralists of Mucho Más Mayo show their work in the neighborhoods and in the city (20/05/2019)

In the final stretch of the Festival Much More May 2019 are already in sight the works of large murals of the artists invited this year to the 'One Urban World', the section of urban culture of the festival.

The murals have accompanied the festival since the first year, becoming one of its most recognized hallmarks.

This section is curated by Kraser.

The works that can be seen are:

The mural of the Uruguayan collective Licuado, on Jacinto Benavente Street, at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.

Licuado Collective was formed in 2010 by Camilo Núñez and Florencia Durán.

They try to interact with their environment and tell stories by developing symbolic portraits of the environment.

Inspired by themes such as mythology or classical art, but above all his work focuses on women or on the differences between types of culture and their own traditions: ethnic groups, collectives ... Although their creative activity has been developing since a few years, their great productions can be seen in half the world.

The mural painting of Sfhir (Madrid), in the street of the Rose, in the District of the Conception.

In 1995, he began to express his concerns for art, thus beginning a long artistic pilgrimage of more than a decade that has progressively evolved towards an increasingly refined and meticulous technique.

Versatile artist, he experiments with three-dimensionality, playing with the compositions of his works and the locations where he develops them.

This continuous evolution has turned it into one of the current references of the national and international scene.

It is distinguished by providing a common element to all his works: disturbing realities.

In the execution of this work and the hand of the European Environment Association, will show us his vision on the problem of marine litter, as in other works dissecting reality and plasmándola in a graphic, overwhelming, through the acid filter that It characterizes you.

Toni Espinar (Alzira), who I painted on May 16 at the Continuing Painting Day at the Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena (MURAM), with the collaboration of Murcia Street Art Project, is also the author of the mural that can be seen in Almirante Elizalde street on the premises of the Neighborhood Association of the Barrio de la Concepción.

Toni Espinar began to paint on the street in the year 88 making murals claiming Punk.

He studied Fine Arts in Valencia, although at the same time he taught drawing and painting classes by family tradition, since he is a third generation artist.

Artist with a long experience, curator of events, restorer and tireless researcher in new mixed media on wall with an acid, sarcastic and underground style influenced by traditional comic.

Mural painting of the Mario Company (Cartagena), coordinated by the ACCEM association, in the CEIP Stella Maris of the Barriada Virgen de la Caridad.

The artistic work coincided with a day of artistic coexistence in the pine forest in front of the school where artists of the Company will participate, and people from the neighborhood shared music and poetry.

The project is called 'Abrazo partido' and has to do with the painting of a slogan chosen in a popular vote in the neighborhood itself: 'Uniendo culturas break boundaries'.
