The average City Council for Navantia, Armada and CHS improve access to the shipyard (17/05/2019)

The City of Cartagena mediated yesterday afternoon for Navantia, the Navy and the Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura (CHS) study solutions to improve access to the shipyard that daily suffer a collapse at the entry and exit of workers.

The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, called a meeting at the San Miguel Building attended by the admiral of the Arsenal, Aniceto Rosique, the director of Navantia, Agustín Álvarez, the water commissioner of the Confederation, José Carlos González, and the Councilor for Public Service, Juan Pedro Torralba, together with municipal technicians.

In the meeting, the parties studied the demands of the workers, assumed by Navantia, to solve this collapse and consist of the unfolding of the road of the Algameca, property of the Navy, for which it would be necessary to occupy space of the channel of the ravine, which manages the confederation.

It also includes the authorization of a bike lane that allows the access of employees in this means of transport.

All administrations expressed their willingness at the meeting to carry forward the proposals if they are viable, so this morning technicians of the confederation moved to the section of the affected ravine to make the corresponding measurements, to prepare the corresponding study.
